MJ-100 #Dubois - F-PGML

 La première réplique de Spitfire à l'échelle 1 par Messieurs Dubois et Hernei à Reims en 1994.

D'abord équipé d'un moteur V12 Hispano Suiza 500 cv, Jean-Patrick Dubois le motorise ensuite avec un Allison V-1710-65 de 1200 cv (origine Arizona, en caisse depuis la seconde guerre mondiale). Le renforcement de la structure a été calculé par des étudiants de l'ESTACA. Bien entendu : nouveaux capots, hélice de DC-3 modifiée et cône d'hélice en carbone.

En 2019, l'appareil est mis en vente et, en décembre 2024, S. CANU s'en porte acquéreur. 

 The first full-scale Spitfire replica was built by Messrs. Dubois and Hernei in Reims, back in 1994.

Initially powered by a 500 hp Hispano-Suiza V12, Jean-Patrick Dubois later replaced it with an Allison V-1710-65 delivering 1200 hp — an engine originally sourced from Arizona, still in its original wartime crate.

The necessary structural reinforcements were calculated by engineering students from ESTACA. Naturally, the new engine required completely redesigned cowling, a modified DC-3 propeller, and a custom carbon fiber spinner.

In 2019, the aircraft was put up for sale, and in Decembre 2024, S. CANU became the new owner.
